Free Online scientific calculator-Calcoolate

Calcoolate lets you use a virtual scientific calculator online. This online tool is very cool you can directly input mathematical commands from the keyboard. The tool looks very pretty there are no digits, just a handful of buttons for mathematical functions like sin, cos, tan, log etc.

If there’s an error in your input, this online calculator automatically highlights it in red.

If you want to calculate 115+24,  just type 115+24 and press =.  It shows the result just like your normal calculator and your calculations are saved in the history. You can also assign a name to each of your calculations. Later on, if you want to use them in other calculations, you can use them by their names. Like, if you assign the above result a name “B”, you can later do calculations by directly using the keyword, for example: B+40, B*40etc.

Your all calculations are saved in the history. You can modify or delete them anytime you like. Anyway calcoolate is as sweet as chocolate,so don't forget to check this pretty calculator.

How to Speed Up Your Site Opening Speed

It is widely known that the loading time of websites has a major influence on the overall user experience. If on the age of 56K Modems people would be willing to wait even half a minute for a website to load this time span has been drastically reduced lately. The are market researches, in fact, confirming that users will just skip a site altogether if it fails to load within 4 seconds.

The first part of the “Speed Up Your Site” series will cover how to optimize images. Images can create an extra load on the size of your pages, specially if you forget to optimize them. Photoshop and similar image editing software include a feature called “Save for the web”. Always use this feature since it will reduce the image size and load time substantially.

If you do not use an image editing software or if you want something more practical you can use this online image optimizer from Dynamic Drive. It will automatically optimize gif, png and jpeg images, and it will also convert file formats if needed.

How to Secure Your GMail Account-Ultimate Guide

The most widely used free email service is from Google which has occupied proficient and prominent position in the cloud.

GMAIL – The free email service from Google with enough storage space to keep your communications intact through years and years. Since Gmail is widely used mail service, security concerns are primarily of respect and main focus. Hence here in this post, we’ll share  a few important and useful Gmail security tips so that our accounts shall never be compromised.

1. Always Use HTTPS – This is a great feature from security point of view in Gmail. HTTPS is secure protocol for transmission of vital information on web in encrypted form. Although, when we sign into our Gmail account, https is used but to make sure https is used throughout our session for our Gmail account, we need to enable this option from Gmail settings. To enable this option, go to settings of your Gmail account and check “Always use HTTPS” under general tab and save changes. HTTPS makes mail little slower than normal but security should be of our prime concern.

2. Remember to signout – Log out whenever you have completed checking mails even if you’re on your own computer. If you’re on public computer like in cyber cafe, make sure you had unchecked “Remember me” or “keep me signed in” option while logging into account. Clear cookies, passwords before leaving public PC.

3. Audit – You know your own ip address. Now find out the ip address from where your Gmail account was opened last time. In the footer, at the very bottom of your inbox, you will see information about last sessions – Last activity : ip address : Details . Just hit on details button and you can see when was your account accessed and from which ip address.

You can also use this feature there to log out all sessions if you find any session open or if you forgot to log out on your friend’s pc or public computers. One should make habit of checking/ auditing Gmail account session details regularly.

3. Don’t disclose Password– Don’t disclose your password to anybody. You might get fake email asking for your Gmail id and password, but remember,  Google never asks you to disclose your password. Stay safe. Also, some websites have features to invite your Gmail contacts to network with you on their website, for this they ask you to enter your Gmail id and password – Don’t give your Gmail details to untrusted or small or new , unestablished websites .

4. Periodically Change your password – Once in two months or so, you should change your password but remember the new one!! Don’t use easy to guess password i.e. don’t use your mobile number, date of birth, your girlfriend’s number as your password! Use password of at least 8 characters. Don’t use repetitive letters in passwords as aaaa1111. Don’t use your Gmail account password as passwords on other websites. I find many people use the same password for variety of websites so if one of your passwords is hacked, all are hacked.

5. Check Outgoing linksDon’t fall prey to phishing attempt. Your so called friend might give you a link stating that it the link to new and feature packed advanced Gmail, you then try to log onto the link given by your friend and your friend gets your id and password. So always check links before hitting on any such links.

6. Keep your account up to date – Your Gmail password is your orkut password and the same password is used for other Google products and services, hence ensure security updates and measures in all your accounts so that neither way, your account could be compromised. Keep your account recovery option updated and remember your security question and answer so that you can recover your password in case if something wrong happens. Although, after reading this post and following accordingly, such unfortunate case is nowhere to stand. You can also add phone number to account for recovery purposes. To review your gmail recovery options, follow this link: GMail account recovery options

7. Use updated Security Programs (Antivirus, Firewall, Antispyware) on your pc - This point is also very important because your computer might have been compromised by a trojan, keylogger or virus which may distribute your account details to remote hacker. Update your browser, operating system, security softwares, mail applications so that you should not be vulnerable to latest exploits and hacks.

8. Check Attachments Before Downloading – Gmail scans every attachment you receive or send for virus or other such kind of threats but even then, it is not advised to download attachments from untrusted source. This will keep your computer safe and so your account.

9.Beware of  Spam – Don’t waste your time reading spam messages. Spam messages are not only waste of time but also may prove to be a security concern as spams may contain links to malicious websites.

10. Periodic Account  Backup – Well, backup would be useful in case of recovery of your account if your account had been compromised. Although this point is not a necessary step, yet you can backup all your gmail mails to make your life easy! One such tool to backup gmail is – Download GMAIL Backup tool

4+Sites to search and find people for free

Trying to get some information about someone you know off the Internet? Looking for someone’s email address, phone number, home address, etc? Sometimes trying to find this information, even if it is on the Internet, can be really hard to get.

Why? Well because there are tons of people always searching for other people and companies want to make money off all of this searching.

It’s just a matter of looking at the right places. In this article, I will list out 5 sites that I have used a lot and that have consistently given me accurate information about the people I am searching for.

ZabaSearch Very good free people search engine. It is able to find the information on a large number of people, including those that had recently moved, etc.

Also, the information is very accurate and complete. Sometimes when you search for someone with a common name like Tom Smith, you’ll finds thousands of results. To find the right entry usually means you need a good deal of information.

ZabaSearch provides historical address information, so if you know someone lived in Austin and then moved to New York, you’ll be able to see that in the search results.

It also gives useful information like home address, birth date, phone number and the ability to contact the person by email.

2. Spock

Another is Spock, a very good people search engine. What I like about Spock is that you can get more information about a person’s footprint on the Internet, rather than basic details like phone numbers and addresses.
If you want to learn about what kind of person he/she is, like their political views, preferences, etc, then Spock is the search engine to use.

Basically when you perform a search in Spock, you get information about the person from blogs, Wikipedia articles, photo sharing sites, social networking sites (Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn), social bookmarking sites, and more.

Using Spock, you might be able to learn what kind of job the person has and who their friends are. Fun stuff!

3. Yasni

Yasni is another people search engine like Spock, it’s meant to give you a picture of the person on the Internet. If you want physical details, like addresses, ZabaSearch is the best.

I personally like to use Spock and Yasni because sometimes one will catch something that the other site missed.
The other cool thing about Yasni is that you can setup a monitor, which will send you emails if that name is mentioned on the Internet. You can also use Google Alerts for this, but it’s always better to have more information.

4. Pipl

Pipl is a popular and comprehensive search engine that pulls together a lot of information from the Internet to give you a complete picture of a person.

Basically, Pipl uses the principle of a “deep web search” to find all kinds of information about someone, from their address and contact info to any publications they have ever posted to the Internet.

What I like about Pipl is that it found all of my addresses, my phone numbers, my email address, my blogs, my online profiles, my actual picture, and my documents that I had uploaded.

5. 123People

The last people search engine I like to use sometimes is 123people. It’s good because it shows pictures of people, so you can quickly filter out all the wrong people and get the information on the person you are searching for.

It also lists out all the email addresses it can find, so you can quickly see which ones might be right or wrong. Other than that, it pulls the same info from social networking sites, etc that all the rest do.
Trying to search for someone on the Internet is a time consuming and frustrating task. If the person doesn’t use a computer much, it’s almost impossible to find out about them through any kind of online search engine.

Hopefully, these 5 sites will help you in finding the information you need! Enjoy!

How to Search the Web Visually -Searchme

I just came across a really innovative search engine which lets you search the web visually when you search something on it, it shows you a preview image of the page you are about to visit and you get some idea where you are actually going. It is called Searchme yeah the name is a little frisky and catch your eye when you first read it somewhere. I personally like the name though at first it sounds like you are searching something about yourself or your own identity on web but not really it doesn’t do something like this.

In fact search me is a little more than a search engine apart from this new and cool feature of showing search results visually in form of slide show it also offers a lots of cool options to play with like you can make new stacks to save your desired or favourite search results into it and access anytime directly without searching again.

Another eye catching feature is that it let you select how the Searchme page looks two themes are available ‘day’ and ’night’ and both looks fantastic. You can filter Adult Content and a few other options. Creating stacks is also an easy job once you create stack just search for anything from the results Right click to any page you want to put in stack and select ‘Add in new stack’ or ‘Add in working stack’.

You can search the web for pages, images,, videos in many categories which makes Searchme more intelligent to grab what you really are looking for. This categorized search is comparatively a new feature and has potential to be famous the category list is vast see the below screenshot.

The result page is simple and more feels like browsing an image gallery. All the results shows in a slideshow which you can control with the seek bar available below the results you can also pick a result page and drag and drop here and there or directly in the stack. When you hover mouse pointer over any search result you see the excerpt or description to that page. The little button on the very bottom of the page let you see the results in text format.
